Dissolving "Bobotoh" Persib?

Ahoy, Mates!

We meet again, apparently. How are you? In all honesty, I don't feel as grand at the moment, but here's hoping you are doing better than me!

This is an analytical post. Which obviously means I am going to analyze something. So, the topic I am going to analyze is "Dissolving 'Bobotoh' Persib". Like, is it necessary, or not?

Enough rambling, and let's start analyzing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dissolving "Bobotoh" Persib.

First thing first, what exactly is "Bobotoh"?

Bobotoh

Well, Bobotoh is a fanclub who dedicated themselves to support Persib. And if you're a foreigner and wondering what is Persib, it's an abbreviation for Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Bandung. Or in other word, a soccer team from Bandung, Indonesia.

Even if Persib originated from Bandung, there are a lot of Bobotoh members who reside outside of Bandung. Such as in Bekasi, Cirebon, even from Singapore! That's quite a shock.

So, what's so bad about Bobotoh that I need to analyze about dissolving them?

For one, they are loyal.

Are loyalties bad? No, they're not. Being over-loyal-nearing-the-level-of-fanaticism, however, is a whole different story.

They love Persib, and they make sure that every single Indonesian people knows it. They ensured that the stadium is packed whenever Persib has a match, even if the match is outside of Bandung. They wear uniforms, they cheers, they watch until the end, basically what every fans do.... Except they turn into these crazy criminals when Persib lost.

Vandalism. Vandalism everywhere. They go from harmless shouting to the opponent's fans, to throwing rocks on every car that have the plate number from their opponent's area. And that, is apparently too much for people's liking. (Like seriously, the talks about dissolving them are everywhere in the internet)

SO

Advantages of Dissolving Bobotoh

Like I said, before. They are not harmless. They are in fact, inflict pain on people, which means they are harmful. And that's really dangerous.
They have this kind of an arch nemesis, which is The Jak. The supporter of Persija, a soccer team from Jakarta (which is almost as "loyal" as Persib, mind you). And every time, every single time, Persib has a match with Persija, it... doesn't end up good. Vandalism happens, no matter which team won. They can't accept the lost of their favorite team.
The rivalry now grow to hatred. They don't just fight when there's a match, they just simply hate each other. This is certainly not a healthy rivalry.

Bobotoh can be too much sometimes. They flood the road before and after the match, which results in traffic jam. Well, worse traffic jam than the usual jam, they make a riot, and most importantly, they scare people.

It is a bad thing when sport, which is supposed to be enjoyed, makes people anxious and scared instead. So maybe, dissolving the Bobotoh will bring more peace to the neighborhood and basically everyone...

Or not.

Disadvantages of Dissolving Bobotoh

Whether they behave or not, whether you like it or not, Bobotoh are fans. They love Persib, and they are certainly loyal to them. And so, let's talk from Persib's point of view here. They need fans. They need supports, they need people who will stick to them and love them even if they lost, they need someone cheering for them, they need that moral strength. And that is what Bobotoh gives. Cheers, supports and loyalty.

About them getting mad upon the lost of Persib. They are too much, yes. But wouldn't you be at least disappointed when something you're fond of, lost, or being humiliated?
I am NOT justifying their actions. Vandalism is a crime. But being a fan of something myself, I can relate to their anger. They just need to vent their anger in something less dangerous.

Beside, can anyone assure that dissolving them will make everything peaceful? NOPE. Do you really think that they will stay calm and composed when they are told to leave their beloved club? I don't think so. Imagine it as if you told Beliebers to never like Justin Bieber again and that Justin Bieber is ugly. BAM. Rabid fangirl attacks. I'm 87.75% sure that this will apply when you are trying to dissolve Bobotoh. Imagine the rage. They will probably ended up doing more damage then before they are dissolved. Scary much.

Conclusion

In my point of view, Bobotoh is dangerous. They harm people, they destroyed public properties, and all in all, they are scary and makes people restless around them. But members of Bobotoh are fans, an extremely fanatic one, but still, a fan.

So, if you ask me, then yes. We definitely need to do something about Bobotoh. But is dissolving them really the right thing to do? I'm not sure. But simply "disciplining" them is proven to be not enough. So what is the right thing to do? Honestly, I am not sure myself. I can only give my opinion, and that is, dissolving Bobotoh Persib is neither right or wrong.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This marks the end of this post!

Thank you, and I really am sorry if anyone is offended by this post. You are free to agree or disagree with everything I just wrote.

Oh, and I actually feel a bit grander (I'm not sure that's even a word) after I wrote this lengthy post! Less than three you guys, less than three <3

Princeton University

Applying for Admission

Note: Princeton is now accepting applications submitted through the Universal College Application, in addition to the Common Application. Please see details below.
You may pay for the Common Application or the Universal College Application online with a credit card. If you are having trouble paying online, you may instead send a check or money order with the applicant's name and date of birth to the address below.
Undergraduate Admission Office
PO Box 430
Princeton University
Princeton, N.J. 08542-0430

Princeton’s admission process goes beyond simply looking for academically accomplished students. For each freshman class, we bring together a varied mix of high-achieving, intellectually gifted students from diverse backgrounds to create an exceptional learning community. We care about what students have accomplished in and out of the classroom. The process is highly selective. In recent years, we've offered admission to less than 10 percent of applicants.

As you prepare your application, help us to appreciate your talents, academic accomplishments and personal achievements. We'll ask for your transcript and recommendations, and we will want to know more than just the statistics in your file. Tell us your story. Show us what’s special about you. Tell us how you would seize the academic and non-academic opportunities at Princeton and contribute to the Princeton community. Above all, please write in a style that reflects your own voice.

How to Apply

Princeton accepts the Common Application and the Universal College Application. Princeton treats them both equally. To apply using the Common Application, you will need to submit both the Common Application and Princeton’s writing supplement to the Common Application through the Common Application website.

To apply online using the Universal College Application, please visit the Universal College Application website, where you will find the First-Year Admissions Application and Princeton Supplement to the Universal College Application. Although applying online is preferred, you also may apply by paper. A PDF of the application is available on the Universal College Application website. A PDF of the Princeton Supplement to the Universal College Application is available on our website.

When to Apply

You have two choices for applying to Princeton -- single-choice early action or regular decision. Before you begin preparing your application, we strongly encourage you to review our publication Ready.Set.Go., which contains detailed information regarding Princeton's application process, standardized testing requirements and financial aid.

Who Can Apply

We accept students who will begin their freshman year in the fall. Princeton does not offer spring semester entry or a transfer admission option. If you have already started a college or university degree program elsewhere, you are not eligible to apply for admission to Princeton.
If a student has submitted an application on three separate occasions, the Office of Admission generally will not review subsequent applications. In these instances, if an application fee was submitted, it will be returned.

Fee Waiver

You may request a fee waiver if you are applying for financial aid and the cost of applying to Princeton represents a financial hardship for your family. Please note that applying for a fee waiver will not disadvantage your application in any way.
To request a waiver, select the fee waiver option in the Common Application or the Universal College Application. Your college or guidance counselor must approve your fee waiver request online or submit your fee waiver form by mail or fax.
In addition to the Common Application and Universal College Application fee waivers, Princeton also accepts the College BoardNACAC, or ECO (Expanding College Opportunities) fee waiver forms. Those participating in the QuestBridge program also may request a fee waiver.

Veterans' Benefits
Princeton University welcomes applications from veterans and dependents who are eligible for education benefits offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, which include the Yellow Ribbon Program, and complies with the principles outlined in Executive Order 13607.
Princeton participates fully in the Yellow Ribbon program without limitation on the number of students who are eligible. The executive order addresses key areas relating to federal military and veterans educational benefits programs.

Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services offers a range of services to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to Princeton's academic and extracurricular opportunities.
The Disability Services staff is available to meet with prospective students who are visiting the campus. Also, for more information you may visit the office's Website.

About "The Lady in Black"

Ahoy, Mates!

So we meet again! How are you? Feeling grand? I do hope so.

In this post, I am supposed to make a summary and describe about the characters, plot, settings, and moral values of a short story. The short story I chose was "The Lady in Black" by Eleanor H. Porter.

Enough with the chit-chat and let's start!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary

There was a mother, named Helen, who always wore black. She was mourning over the loss of her daughter. She was so sad, that she refused to care about her son and husband. Instead, she was mad that her husband and son could still smile and play together after the death of the daughter and ran to see her daughter's grave.

When she was there, she met a woman, placing flowers on another grave near her daughter's grave. She talked to her and found out that she was not the mother of the young boy in the grave. She was only his nurse. She cared for his grave because no one was left to care.

Helen asked why, the lady said that the mother of the boy was so sad that she forgot about her husband and daughter. She died, and her husband followed after her. The daughter left to find a place where she could find happiness, since she didn't get one on that house.

Hearing the story, the Lady in Black shivered. She was scared. She hurried back home and cried. Time passed, and she no longer walked down the stairs slowly. She wore a white dress and a white flower on her head, despite having trace of tears on her face. She heard her son called her, and she embraced little Bobby in her arms.

Characters

There are four characters in the story. Lady in Black was endearing, she loved her daughter deeply, even if she forgot about her family for a moment, she came back to her senses and back to being a loving mother. The husband was caring and tried to help his wives get over their daughter's death. Bobby was a cute boy who wanted his mother's attention. The lady at the graveyard was a nice and caring lady, for she cared about the little boy, even if he was not hers.

Plot

This story has a plot of a sad mother who forgot her families and realized her mistake through a story about a mother in similar situation with her from a lady she met.

Settings

The story took place in the Lady in Black's house and the graveyard. It was not stated in which country and which years the story occurs.

Moral Values

I think the moral of this story is that, we shouldn't dwell in the past. We are allowed to be sad and mourn, but after that we have to move on and face the present.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This marks the end of this post!

Thanks for reading! See you!

The Lady in Black

A story by Eleanor H. Porter

The house was very still.  In the little room over the porch, the Lady in Black sat alone.  Near her, a child's white dress lay across a chair.  On the floor at her feet lay a tiny pair of shoes.  A doll hung over a chair and a toy soldier occupied the little stand by the bed.
And everywhere was silence—the strange silence that comes only to a room where the clock has stopped ticking.
The clock stood on the shelf near the end of the bed.  The Lady in Black looked at it.  She remembered the wave of anger that had come over her when she had reached out her hand and silenced the clock that night three months before.
It had been silent ever since and it should remain silent, too.  Of what possible use were the hours it would tick away now?  As if anything mattered, with little Kathleen lying out there white and still under the black earth!
"Muvver!"
The Lady in Black moved restlessly and looked toward the closed door.  Behind it, she knew, was a little boy with wide blue eyes who wanted her.  But she wished he would not call her by that name.  It only reminded her of those other little lips--silent now.
"Muvver!"  The voice was more demanding.
The Lady in Black did not answer. He might go away, she thought, if she did not answer.
There was a short silence, and then the door opened slowly.
"Pe-eek!" It was a cry of joyful discovery, but it was followed almost immediately by silence.  The unsmiling woman did not invite him to come near.  The boy was unsteady at his first step.  He paused, then spoke carefully, "I's--here."
It was maybe the worst thing he could have said.  To the Lady in Black it was a yet more painful reminder of that other one who was not there. She gave a sharp cry and covered her face with her hands.
"Bobby, Bobby" she cried out, in a release of unreasoning sadness.  "Go away!  Go away!  I want to be alone--alone!"
All the brightness fled from the boy's face.  His eyes showed a feeling of deep hurt.  He waited, but she did not move.  Then, with a half-quieted cry, he left the room.
Long minutes afterward, the Lady in Black raised her head and saw him through the window.  He was in the yard with his father, playing under the apple tree.
Playing!
The Lady in Black looked at them with serious eyes, and her mouth hardened at the corners.
Bobby had someone to play with him, someone to love him and care for him, while out there on the hillside Kathleen was alone--all alone.
With a little cry the Lady in Black sprang to her feet and hurried into her own room. Her hands shook as she pinned on her hat and covered herself with her black veil.  But her step was firm as she walked downstairs and out through the hall.
The man under the apple tree rose hurriedly and came forward.
"Helen, dearest,--not again, today!" he begged.  "Darling, it can't do any good!"
"But she's alone--all alone.  You don't seem to think!  No one thinks--no one knows how I feel.  You don't understand.  If you did, you'd come with me.  You wouldn't ask me to stay--here!" choked the woman.
"I have been with you, dear," said the man gently.  "I've been with you today, and every day, almost, since--since she left us.  But it can't do any good--this continuous mourning over her grave.  It only makes more sadness for you, for me, and for Bobby.  Bobby is--here, you know, dear!"
"No, no, don't say it," cried the woman wildly.  "You don't understand!  You don't understand!" And she turned and hurried away, followed by the worried eyes of the man, and the sad eyes of the boy.
It was not a long walk to the burial place.  The Lady in Black knew the way.  Yet, she stumbled and reached out blindly.  She fell before a little stone marked "Kathleen."  Near her a gray-haired woman, with her hands full of pink and white roses, watched her sympathetically.  The gray-haired woman paused and opened her lips as if she would speak.  Then she turned slowly and began to arrange her flowers on a grave nearby.
The Lady in Black raised her head.  For a time she watched in silence.  Then she threw back her veil and spoke.
"You care, too," she said softly.  "You understand.  I've seen you here before, I'm sure.  And was yours--a little girl?"
The gray-haired woman shook her head.
No, dearie, it's a little boy--or he was a little boy forty years ago."
"Forty years--so long!  How could you have lived forty years--without him?"
Again the little woman shook her head.
"One has to--sometimes, dearie, but this little boy wasn't mine.
"But you care.  You understand.  I've seen you here so often before."
"Yes.  You see, there's no one else to care. But there was once, and I'm caring now, for her sake."
"For her?"
"His mother."
"Oh-h!"  It was a tender little cry, full of quick sympathy.  The eyes of the Lady in Black were on the stone marked "Kathleen."
"It ain't as if I didn't know how she'd feel," said the gray-haired woman.  "You see, I was nurse to the boy when it happened, and for years afterward I worked in the family.  So I know.  I saw the whole thing from the beginning, from the very day when the little boy here met with the accident."
"Accident!"  It was a cry of concern and sympathy from Kathleen's mother.
"Yes.  It was a runaway and he didn't live two days."
"I know!  I know!" choked the Lady in Black.  Yet she was not thinking of the boy and the runaway horse accident.
"Things stopped then for my mistress," continued the little gray-haired woman, "and that was the beginning of the end.  She had a husband and a daughter, but they didn't seem to be important--not either of 'em.  Nothin' seemed important except this little grave out here.  She came and spent hours over it, bringin' flowers and talkin' to it."
The Lady in Black raised her head suddenly and quickly looked into the woman's face.  The woman went on speaking.
"The house got sadder and sadder, but she didn't seem to mind. She seemed to want it so.  She shut out the sunshine and put away many of the pictures.  She sat only in the boy's room.  And there, everything was just as it was when he left it.  She wouldn't let a thing be touched.  I wondered afterward that she didn't see where it was all leadin' to, but she didn't."
"'Leading to'?" The voice shook.
"Yes.  I wondered she didn't see she was losin' 'em--that husband and daughter; but she didn't see it."
The Lady in Black sat very still. Even the birds seemed to have stopped their singing.  Then the gray-haired woman spoke:
"So, you see, that's why I come and put flowers here.  It's for her.  There's no one else now to care," she sighed, rising to her feet.
"But you haven't told yet--what happened," said the Lady in Black, softly.
"I don't know myself really.  I know the man went away.  He got somethin' to do travelin' so he wasn't home much.  When he did come he looked sick and bad.  He come less and less, and he died.  But that was after she died.  He's buried over there beside her and the boy.  The girl--well, nobody knows where the girl is.  Girls like flowers and sunshine and laughter and young people, you know, and she didn't get any of them at home.  So she went--where she did get 'em, I suppose.
"There, and if I haven't gone and tired you all out with my talkin'!"  said the little gray-haired woman regretfully.
"No, no.  I was glad to hear it," said the Lady in Black, rising unsteadily to her feet. Her face had grown white, and her eyes showed a sudden fear.  "But I must go now. Thank you."  And she turned and hurried away.
The house was very still when the Lady in Black reached home.  She shivered at its silence.  She hurried up the stairs, almost with guilt.  In her own room she pulled at the dark veil that covered her face.  She was crying now, a choking little cry with broken words running through it.  She was still crying as she removed her black dress.
Long minutes later, the Lady--in black no longer--moved slowly down the stairway.  Her eyes showed traces of tears, but her lips were bravely curved in a smile.  She wore a white dress and a single white rose in her hair.  Behind her, in the little room over the porch, a tiny clock ticked loudly on its shelf near the end of the bed.
There came a sound of running feet in the hall below, then:
"Muvver!--it's Muvver come back!" shouted a happy voice.
And with a little sobbing cry Bobby's mother opened her arms to her son.

Red Panda

Ahoy, mates!

In this post, I'm supposed to post a report about a kind of animal or plant.

Well, I decided to report about an animal called the RED PANDA. Because it's cute. End of story.

Enough with the chit-chat and let's go to the main topic.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Red Panda
Red Panda or Ailurus fulgens is a kind of arboreal mammals or a mammals that spends most of its time on trees. Even if its name is Red Panda, it is actually closer to a raccoon than to a black and white giant panda. Red Panda's size is about the same as a domestic cat.

Scientific Classification

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Carnivore
Family: Ailuridae
Genus: Ailurus
Spesies: Ailurus fulgens/Red Panda

To be noted that even though the order is stated as carnivore, Red Panda is in fact an omnivore. It is listed as a carnivore because its physical features resembles that of a carnivore.

About

Red Panda is native to Eastern Himalaya and Southwest China. It is, as stated before, an omnivore that mainly feeds on bamboos, thus earning the name Panda. The name came from a Nepal word called Ponyo which means bamboo eater.
Red Panda is solitary except for mating season. It is both nocturnal (active and night) and also crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk).
Right now, Red Panda is considered as Vulnerable by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) and is continuously decreasing because of deforestation.

There are 2 sub-species of Red Panda:

1. Western Red Panda (Ailurus fulgen fulgens)

The Western Red Panda lives in Nepal, Assam, Sikkim, and Bhutan. It has red-brown fur with black and white in some parts of its body.

2. Styani's Red Panda (Ailurus fulgen styani)

Styani's Red Panda lives in Southern China and Northern Burma. It is bigger than the Western Red Panda. It also has more black fur on its body and a more robust teeth.

This marks the end of this post.

This is actually just pretty much a copy of my power point, that I would love to attach here, but I don't know how. BYE!!

My... S.W.A.D?

Ahoy, mates!

How are you doing? Me? Oh, I'm grand, like a rollercoaster that only goes up. (John Green reference, anyone?)

Anyway, nice to meet you! My name is Dian Rizki Adiningtyas, you can call me Dian. I'm a highschool student, currently in my 2nd year at the lovely SMAN 3 Bandung.

Okay, so in this post, I am supposed to talk about my... S.W.A.D. Or I guess that's what my teacher call it. In my understanding, S.W.A.D means Strengths, Weaknesses, and Dreams, I hope I'm right.

Enough with the chit-chat and let's start with my strenghts.

Hm. This is tough.

First off, I'm tall. That's a plus, right? Right. My grades are pretty good, last time I placed 5th in my class, and I think it's quite amazing considering how smart the people in my school are. I have confidence in language-involving-subjects (english, indonesian), biology, and a little bit in chemistry, since I'm apparently better at memorizing rather than counting.
I know how to play violin, and a little bit, just a little bit of guitar. I also have a thing for writing like, stories and stuffs. Don't have a notable achievement in that matter though. Some people also said that I can be a good problem-listener. I'd believe them.

Now for my never ending list of weaknesses.

I am extremely lazy, sometimes I act more like a boy than a girl, I'm not an organized type of person, my room is a huge mess, I'm afraid of bugs, my voice is too low for a girl, I need to cut some weight, some people said that my stare is scary, I can't seem to get the hang of physics, I HATE any sports other than swimming and badminton, I have a stamina of an 80yrs old lady, I rant WAAAAYYY too much, and the list would still go on...

Still, I'm happy and thankful for what I am now. After all, like I said, I'm grand.

And now the big finale. My dreams.

My dreams are simple, yet so abstract.

My dream is to make my life worth living. To not regret my decisions, to treat everyday as a gift, to make people around me happy, to make my family proud, to not be a burden for anyone, to enjoy every breath I take, to mean something.

So that later, I can look back, reflect on my life, and smile.

Then finally, I can go to heaven peacefully.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This marks the end of this post.

UGH, it looks so cheesy now that I've actually read it. I better stop and post this ASAP before I change my mind and rewrite everything. BYE!!
